10th Annual Quick Draw and Art Auction
See Taos Artists in Action during TCA’s ‘Quick Draw and Art Auction’, Sept. 24
Taos, New Mexico is one of the most well known art colonies, inspiring more artists per capita than almost any other town in the world. On September 24, art enthusiasts can get an up-close-and-personal look at how art is created as they watch local artists paint, draw, sculpt, carve and create during the Taos Center for the Arts’ “Quick Draw and Art Auction.”
Quick Draw gives visitors to Taos a glimpse at the art process from the beginning, with a chance to bid on the artwork to own the results. Visitors are invited to walk among and talk to the 40 participating artists as they create.
The Quick Draw will take place on the Taos Center for the Arts’ (TCA) historical grounds at 133 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte in Taos. Live music by some of Taos’ best local performers will accompany the event.
Those interested in purchasing two and three dimensional art in every medium can bid at a spirited auction in the afternoon. All artists' works are for purchase, either at a silent auction or by bid at the live auction at 4 p.m. Proceeds from the auction directly benefit programs within the TCA.
Mediums include: oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, drawings, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, stone and glass and wood. All art will be created on site from noon to 3 p.m.
The Quick Draw is free to the public. For more information, call Dancer Dearing at 575-758-2052 or email@example.com
