Summer of Love to Woodstock: Behind the Lens with Lisa Law
Open 11am - 3pm Monday - Friday in the Encore Gallery
Exhibit hangs until July 6, 2009
Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) is proud to present photographer and documentary artist Lisa Law in the Encore Gallery, May 24 – July 6, 2009. Lisa has specialized in documenting history as she has experienced it; as a writer, photographer, social activist and mother. She uses her camera to reveal distinct happenings and communities while championing the rights of her subjects. Lisa Law’s counterculture photographs provide the viewer with iconic scenes of the 1960’s: California, rock stars, commune life in New Mexico and Woodstock. Over the past four decades, Law’s images have chronicled the social and cultural changes in America.
