Taos Community Auditorium Opening Celebration
The Taos Center for the Art, Siriusware, Taos Mountain Casino, and The Taos News are pleased to present:
The Taos Center for the Arts is thrilled to announce the Taos Community Auditorium is reopening March 6!
After years of planning, fundraising, destruction and construction, the new lobby, now called the Encore Gallery, will be open to welcome the community of northern New Mexico back to the TCA’s friendly confines.
Join the celebration beginning at 4:45 with the ribbon cutting ceremony and reception followed by the premier of “The Last Women,” eighteen new, never before shown pieces by Taos’ own Larry Bell from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mr. Bell is a long time supporter of the Taos Center for the Arts and is delighted to kick off the opening of this new and vibrant space in downtown Taos.
Next join us for an evening of Taos Talent on stage as we bring the performing arts back to the boards of the theatre. Longtime friend to the TCA, Robert Mirabal graces the Auditorium with his unique song stylings of traditional and modern native flute and voice.
A tribute of musical theatre pieces provided by local stage gypsies and troupers then leads us into a finale of local dance talent of and for all ages.
The evening promises to be a wonderful celebration of the old and the new as our venerable Taos Community Auditorium is once again brought alive by the talented visual and performing artists of Taos. The doors to the auditorium will open at 7:00 pm for the performances. Seating is first come first seated. This event is for all ages and is a free event, but donations for future TCA programs will be gratefully accepted.
