Annual Open Members Exhibition
Encore and Stables Galleries: January 25, 2013 to March 10, 2013

Exhibition Curators:
David Hinske -  David’s paintings are exhibited and collected nationally. He has owned galleries, been a museum preparator, curated art exhibitions, written extensively and interviewed many artists, and has served as a juror at art fairs and festivals across the country.
Dan Cassidy received his BFA from The California College of Arts and Crafts in 2006. He owns and operates the Dan Cassidy studio and Gallery in Arroyo Seco. Additionally, Dan is a founding member of Pressing On – a Taos printmakers group.
Art Curators
Kristine Rippel received her BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. Her exhibitions since have focused on impermanent installations, including her show “Ink in the Veins” at the Plaza Gallery in Ranchos in 2011.
Sabine Hirsch-Conway is the Director of GF Contemporary Gallery in Santa Fe. She was a panelist for the Santa Fe Centennial Project Space in 2012. Sabine has curated exhibitions in Santa Fe and promoted art fairs in San Francisco, Boston and Seattle.
Chuck Zimmer manages the New Mexico 1% for Art in Public Places Program. A recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Grant, his background includes an MFA from Southern Illinois University and Bachelors degrees in anthropology, art history, and fine art from the State University of New York at Potsdam.

IMPORTANT DATES
Friday, January 18th, noon to 6pm - Drop off work at Stables Gallery
Friday, January 25th - Opening reception honoring the artists from 5 to 7pm
Monday, March 11th, noon to 6pm - Artwork to be picked up

SUBMISSION CRITERIA and GENERAL INFORMATION
Must be a member of TCA to participate.
Exhibition is open to emerging as well as established artists residing or represented in Taos County.
Media: drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media and photography.
All accepted work must be original and created within the last two years and submitted ready to hang.
Work must be no larger than 40” on the longest side, including frame if framed
Artist may submit one piece.
All work will be available for purchase during the exhibit. Art work sold through the TCA is tax free.
Artist will receive 70% of retail sales price and TCA will retain a commission of 30% if work is sold.
TCA has limited security at the gallery and artwork is not insured, thus all art is hung at artist’s risk.
Open Hours for Exhibit will depend on personnel and volunteers.
Art will be shown in both the Stables and Encore Gallery

SUBMISSION PROCESS
Submit work at the Stables Gallery on Friday January 18th from noon to 6pm with the entry form attached to work. Contact David Hinske at 751-3733 or davidhinske@gmail.com with any questions.
